Really, really wasn’t sure about even uploading this photo at all to be honest, but in the end I thought why not?
I got up early this morning and headed down to Cranfield Point (the most southerly point in Northern Ireland) intending to get a sunrise shot with the lighthouse. Living in Northern Ireland means that nice weather is pretty much a rarity so getting up for the hour’s drive was a bit of a risk.
I used to caravan here to I thought I’d a good enough idea of composition and where the sun would be before I went however, I hadn’t appreciated just how the far the lighthouse was from the east facing rocks and coast I intended to combine it with! I really need to invest in a wide-angle lens I think!
Anyway, there was a complete cloud cover and a sunrise didn’t really happen so it didn’t matter much!
I took this shot just as I was waiting. I do like the blue colour in the shot, but just not that enthused by it.
f/14 ISO 100 3 shot HDR at 0EV, -2EV and +2EV
